Set-up and work with Containers

Watch a short tutorial: video link here TBC

Containers explained:

Each question will have its own space where it is housed called a “container”. For individual questions like gender or age, there may only be one question in the container. However, for questions where the user wants the answer choice list to be exactly the same for a series of questions, the container will do this automatically. This is designed to be useful for common questions in shopper or path-to-purchase studies. It will also help users to create a brand funnel series.

Set-up and editing containers:

1. To set-up a new container, click on the “+” in the top left and select a question type. Select the question type you want to use and Survey Builder will automatically create a new container with your chosen question type inside it.

2. To add an additional question(s) to a container, click on the “three vertical dots” menu  and select “Add question”:

3. You can edit the theme and how each question is displayed (e.g. all on one page or a single question per page) in the right-hand menu. This menu will also allow you to the container of questions for future use:

4. Finally, saving happens automatically in SB so you don’t need to click an update or save button.

Containers in action:

The first example shows a container “Colour” with a single question housed within it.

The second example shows what the display looks like for a container “P2P_Set” with more than one question housed within it. This shows how a user might use this for a mutli-punch question asking about likability and a follow-on single choice question about a favourite:
