By default, the Dig analysis will analyze every category in the questionnaire / selected questions towards the target group.
In some cases you will want to merge categories, in order to make them bigger and more robust.
1. Select the grid question(s) from the left and drag into the drop area.
2. Select the question(s) to edit and click Edit.
3. Edit Question dialog opens. Here you can edit the question text directly in the text box.
4. You can also edit or merge Response rows or Response Columns.
- In our example we will merge Response columns.
5. Select the columns that you wish to merge.
6. Click the Actions button and select Merge rows.
The new merged column will appear and the original columns will be disabled in the display.
You have many options here to customize the display of the question.
- Use the toggle buttons to select which columns will appear. For example you might wish to show both the original and merged columns.
- Delete any column using the red trash bin if it is no longer needed.
- Modify codes and edit texts as needed.
7. Click Update when you are finished.
You will now have more robust categories that will give your analysis more impact.
