Carousel

Using Walr’s “No Code” solution, our highly customisable custom questions allow you to modify them without needing to understand any coding or programming.  Everything is presented through options in our “Visualisation”, allowing you to adjust the question to get exactly the format you need.

Data: the underlying question type for this question is a single or multi grid, so each statement will be have a column in the data.

1. How do you want to show the buttons?  If you have 6 options and want to show them as a single column, leave this as 1.  If you want to show across 2 rows, then set to 3.

2. Do you have a DK or None?   Then setting this to a number picks up that many codes from the end and makes them into smaller buttons that are not included in the (1).  Remember to count the codes from the end, so if you have a DK only, then it would be 1; if you have a DK and None, then it would be 2.

3. If you are using images and also have text, you can select this option to hide the text.   This means that you can have something like the below, where Option 1 will appear in the data but not when show to the respondent.  (10) must be enabled for this to work.

Option 1 <br/> <img src="image.png" alt="Option 1 image" width="100">

4-9. These options can be used to set the height and width of the buttons.  Note that in conjunction with (1) it will place the buttons.  If the width is too large, then it may not be able to fit your desired number per row.

10-11. If you would like to use images instead of text – this allows you to set images in the option text. Use in conjunction with (3).  This will remove the border around the buttons.

12. If enabled, when the last statement has been answered, auto proceed to the next question.

13. Will scroll back to the statement every time the question is answered.  This is useful for mobile and if you have long answer lists.

14-17. While you can randomise the statements through the “logic” tab, you might also want to set the answers to be random or alternating, this can be enabled here.  You can set a random seed value, which is different from the survey and also exclude the number of columns from the start or end.

e.g. if you had a list of 20 answers, and wanted to exclude your DK & None options, which are at the end, you could set (17) to 2.
