Delete or Recover Work

When you delete work such as a project, survey, dataset, custom question it is removed from your workspace and moved to Tasks. Here it is queued for processing.

Processing will permanently remove the item from the platform. It is possible however to cancel the deletion and return the item to your account as long as you do so prior to it being processed.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Delete Work

 ..

Work is deleted in the Walr Platform either by clicking a trashcan icon or selecting Delete from a dropdown menu.

 ..

Let's demonstrate this by deleting a survey from my project.

 ..

1. Using the dropdown menu under the ellipsis on the right side of the survey to remove, select Delete.

..

..

2. Confirm the deletion in the pop up dialog. You must enter the name of the item to delete exactly or the Delete button will not be enabled.

 ..

3. Click Delete.

..

 ..

Recover Deleted Work

 ..

To recover a deleted item you must use Tasks which is located on the left side menu bar.

 ..

1. Click the Tasks icon.

..

..

2. Locate the item that you wish to recover. If the status is still listed as QUEUED you can recover the item. Click the Cancel button.

  ..

..

3. Confirm that you wish to cancel the deletion by clicking Yes.

  ..

..

4. The status will be listed as CANCELLED. If you wish to remove the item from Tasks click the Remove button.

 ..

..

5. Confirm the removal by clicking Yes.

 ..

   ..

The recovered item will be returned to where it was deleted from in your account for your use. In our case the survey deleted from the Walr Training Project would be returned to the project page as shown in step 1 of the Delete Work section above.
