Importing Data - Triple-S

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Automatic Import

1. In your project folder click on the import button.

2. Choose the option "File Import: Import dataset from file".

The "Import from library" option is only available to users with datasets that are archived on the legacy QuenchTec platforms.

3. The Import Wizard is opened. Now you can choose the Triple S option.

4. A Triple S import requires two files, the Meta file and the Case file.

  • The meta file is an XML file that provide information about the data to be loaded. This file will have an extension of .sss.
  • The case file will normally be a csv or fixed length text file that contains the collected data.

5. Once you have selected both files click Import to bring your data into the Walr Platform.

Manual Import

A Manual Import can also be performed by opening the Advanced import drop down and toggling the Open import for manual processing switch to on as shown.

You may also choose to have the Walr Platform create grids and/or multiples automatically by toggling the appropriate switch.

Once your setup choices are made click the Next button to begin the import and conversion process. This may take a while depending on the size of your import file.

You can now define your data set. Manually defining data is covered in a separate topic. Once the data is to your satisfaction click the Finalize button to complete the manual import.

Work With Your Imported File

Once the file is loaded you can start analyzing your data by clicking anywhere on the data set or by clicking on the ellipsis and choosing an action to take. Here you may:

  • Analyze your data set.
  • Export the data.
  • Edit the data set information (name and description)
  • Delete the data set.
